To schedule your session, simply choose a day and time from the booking link I send you. After that, you’ll receive an agreement and a short questionnaire about your session. Once your date is secured, you’ll get guides covering FAQs, location tips, and outfit suggestions. The creative fee is due upon booking and is non-refundable. After your session, you can view your images and purchase a collection that captures your family’s story beautifully.

A few days before our session, I'll touch base to confirm our time and location details. If anyone is feeling under the weather, we can discuss rescheduling options. This is also the perfect moment to ask any last-minute questions. Signature sessions usually last an hour with no time limits, while petite sessions are 30 minutes. If you're running late, just let me know. Finally, take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy this special time with your family.

Within a couple of weeks of your session, you'll receive an email letting you know your photos are ready. You'll have 24 hours to enjoy your images in a slideshow and choose which collection to purchase. Then, you'll have a full month to select the specific digital files and print items for your collection—no pressure! If you prefer to see and feel album covers and paper types in person, I have samples at my studio and can set up a time for you to visit.

Of Course!  A few months before your session, Michele will send you a detailed location guide discussing the many options you have in the area.  We can brainstorm what you had in mind and where you live to make sure we can find the best place for photos.  Remember though, family photo sessions are less about the environment and more about your connection as a family.

If you want an outside session then we will watch the weather closely and Michele will take your lead.  She will give you recommendations but will ultimately leave it up to you.  Even though it may be raining on the day of your session it doesn't mean it will be raining during your session.  It's important to stay open.  Michele will do what she can to reschedule but often weekend dates may not be available. Flexibility is key.  If it's below 40 degrees or above 90 degrees it is also recommended to reschedule.

The studio is usually available as a backup but studio sessions are scheduled between 10 am and 2 pm and outdoor sessions 2 hours before sunset.  You would need to make that decision ahead of your session time.

Michele tends to book at least 6 weeks in advance and fall tends to be fully booked by mid-July.  It is important to book early.  There are only 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday available each month.  Most sessions take place in the evenings during the week.  There are certain locations that Michele will NOT photograph at during the weekends in the fall because they are just too busy.  Consider scheduling during the week for a better photo session experience.    

There is a $250 creative fee to hold your session on the calendar.  This covers all the backend business to make your session a success.  After your session, you will receive a slideshow of your images and at that time you will purchase a collection.  The creative fee is separate and does not get applied to collection purchases.  Most minor editing is covered with small blemishes.  However, if you want slimming or there is excessive editing that you want done, you will need to pay an editing fee of $30 per image.

Michele offers a client wardrobe that has dresses for moms, shirts and sweaters for dads, and outfits for children under 5.  Most clothing that is available works well in temperate climates.  We can discuss options once we know what the weather is looking like on the day of your session.
