From squishy newborn snuggles to family giggles in the grass, I specialize in capturing the moments that become your forever favorites. Whether you're welcoming a new baby or simply trying to get everyone in one frame, your session will be relaxed, connected, and uniquely yours.
I photograph families and newborns across Woodbury and surrounding areas — always with an eye for beauty, authenticity, and connection.
From Wide Open Parks to Your Own Backyard
Woodbury is full of beautiful spots for family and newborn photos—whether you're strolling through Tamarack Village or snuggling up at home. Locations like Colby Lake Park, Powers Lake, and the trails at Edgewater are perfect for relaxed, playful family sessions with room to roam. In the fall, the colorful trees around Battle Creek Regional Park (just a short drive) make for a stunning backdrop.
And if you live in one of Woodbury’s picturesque neighborhoods—like Wedgewood, Stonemill Farms, or Dancing Waters—your own backyard can be a dream location. Whether it's a dockside moment on Powers Lake or golden hour in your neighborhood green space, we can keep things easy and close to home.
Prefer to stay inside? I also offer cozy in-home lifestyle sessions, especially great for newborns or younger kids. We’ll capture the magic of your daily life in the most meaningful place of all—home.
Most maternity sessions take place in my natural-light studio in Northeast Minneapolis—where you’ll have full access to the #mqnwardrobe and expert styling help. But if you’re local to Woodbury and hoping for something outdoors, we can plan a session in one of the area’s open, scenic spots like Powers Lake or Colby Lake.
These sessions are laid-back and always centered on you. Whether you're dressing up or keeping it casual, it's about marking this moment in a way that feels true to your story. Studio or outdoors, we’ll make sure you feel beautiful—and actually enjoy being in front of the camera.
Newborn sessions are held in my cozy Northeast Minneapolis studio, designed with families in mind. You’ll have everything you need: natural light, soft textures, and access to my thoughtfully curated wardrobe for baby, siblings, and parents.
For Woodbury families who prefer to stay close to home, in-home newborn sessions are also an option. I bring everything needed—wraps, outfits, even a white noise machine—so we can capture your new baby in a space that’s already filled with love and meaning. Whether it’s in the nursery or snuggled on the couch, the result is a collection of timeless images that feel like your life, not just a photo shoot.
Milestone sessions—like tummy time, sitting, standing, or first birthday cake smashes—are held in my Northeast Minneapolis studio. With beautiful light, timeless backdrops, and a wardrobe full of soft, classic outfits for little ones, the focus stays where it belongs: on your baby’s personality and progress.
From Woodbury, it’s a quick drive for a relaxed session that results in images you’ll want to frame, gift, and save forever. Whether it’s a toothy grin or a chubby thigh roll, every little detail matters. I make it easy and fun for both baby and you—no over-the-top props or stressful prep needed.
Woodbury is full of beautiful backdrops for relaxed family photos. Whether you’re dreaming of tall grass at Ojibway Park, the open trails around Colby Lake, or even cozying up on your own back patio, I’ll help you find the right fit. (And yes, I can even come to your neighborhood if that’s where the memories are being made.)
I take a playful, child-led approach to family sessions—because stiff poses and forced smiles just aren’t it. Instead, you’ll get a mix of candid joy, connection, and a few classic portraits for the grandparents. If you live in Bailey’s Arbor, Wedgewood, Stonemill Farms, or near Powers Lake, I’m already familiar with the vibe—and I’ll make sure your photos feel like you.
You know what’s worse than trying to take your own family photos? Trying to dress everyone for them. That’s why I make styling easy, so you don’t spend your week panic-scrolling through online returns or arguing over whether your toddler can wear light-up sneakers.
Every session comes with access to my curated studio wardrobe, which includes dresses for moms, outfits for babies and young kids, and clean, classic shirts for dads. If you’d rather wear your own pieces, I send out a monthly Looks Book filled with clickable outfit inspiration that actually works in real life and photographs beautifully.
The goal isn’t to match. It’s to look cohesive, comfortable, and like you made a really excellent decision without lifting a finger. And yes, I’ll tell you if something isn’t working before the session. That’s part of the magic.
You deserve to feel amazing in these photos. And honestly? That starts with what you’re wearing.
Once you’ve reached out, I’ll walk you through the entire process step by step. You’ll receive the invoice for the creative fee along with the session agreement, and then everything you need to start planning. I’ll send over detailed guides that cover what to wear, how to prep, and what to bring.
If your session is in the studio, you’ll choose outfits from the client wardrobe once you arrive. For on-location sessions, you’re welcome to schedule a wardrobe consultation ahead of time so we can plan the details before the day of your session.
Sessions themselves are relaxed and child-led. That means we follow their lead and leave space for snacks, breaks, and the occasional meltdown. I’ll guide you the whole way with calm direction, gentle posing, and a few silly tricks up my sleeve.
Afterward, you’ll receive a curated slideshow of images to view at home. Once you select a collection, you’ll have 30 days to choose your final images and use your print credit toward beautiful products in your gallery store.
It’s a thoughtful, flexible experience built around real family life.
You’re not looking for someone to just take photos. You’re looking for someone who can capture what your family feels like. The moments that happen when your toddler forgets the camera is there. The way your baby fits on your chest right now. The look your partner gives you when no one’s watching—but I am.
I’ve been photographing families for over 15 years, and the one thing I know for sure? No two are the same. That’s why my approach is never one-size-fits-all. We plan ahead, we keep things flexible, and we create space for connection, not perfection.
Whether you’re walking into my studio for the first time or emailing me for our fifth session together, my goal is the same. To help you feel seen, supported, and actually excited to be in front of the camera.
I’m Michele. I’m a photographer, a mom, and someone who understands how quickly it all moves. You don’t need to have it all together. You just need to show up. I’ll take it from there.
If you’re hoping for clean, connected, and beautifully styled portraits that feel like your family, not a performance, I’d love to work with you. Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, documenting that wild first year, or gathering everyone for an updated family photo, I’ll help make the process feel doable and worth it.
Sessions fill quickly, especially in the fall. It is always a good idea to start planning early.
