Because we live in Minnesota, these sessions are limited—our window for warm light and barefoot weather doesn’t last long. Choose the timing that works best for your family, and reserve your spot early to make the most of it.

Summer Family Photo Sessions

Long daylight hours mean more flexibility for evening sessions and more chances to catch that soft golden light.

Summer is great for letting kids go barefoot, splash near the lake, or just run around without a plan.

If temps hit the 90s, we’ll reschedule. Nobody needs heatstroke in their photos.

Recommended Locations: Open fields, lakesides, and gardens with some shade.

Fall Family Photo Sessions

The most popular of all the seasons! Be sure to book well in advance!

Golden light, changing trees, and just enough chill to hold your baby close.

Fall sessions are always in high demand—and for good reason. The colors are bold, the light is rich, and layering up just makes everyone look a little extra pulled together.

If you’ve got littles, earlier is better. By mid-October, temps can drop fast—and cold, cranky toddlers are not the vibe.

Recommended Locations: Tree-lined parks, rustic trails, and spots with plenty of color (without the crowds).

Winter Family Photo Sessions

Snowy sessions are a bit of a unicorn—freezing, yes, but undeniably beautiful.

If your family’s up for bundling up, Minnesota winter can deliver something soft, serene, and striking.

Studio is always an option if you’d rather stay warm (no judgment—we get it).

Recommended Locations: Snow-covered fields, evergreens, red barns, city streets or even your own backyard.

Spring Family Photo Sessions

(Usually peak blooms happen mid-may, this varies from year to year)

Blossoms, Soft Light, and Moments Worth Chasing.

Spring is my personal favorite—but blink and you’ll miss it. Those blooming trees and soft greens? They stick around for maybe two weeks. But when they show up, the photos are magic.

It’s the perfect time for airy dresses, curious toddlers, and gentle light that flatters everyone.

Recommended Locations: Flowering fields, lakeside parks, or anywhere the trees are waking up.
