A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if the forecast is questionable or someone seems to be coming down with the flu, we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any last minute questions or let me know if you've come up with a fun idea we haven't discussed.  

My photo sessions have no time limit but we are typically done within 45-60 minutes or so.  Because there is no time limit if there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, I like to stay flexible. Finally, take a breath and relax... I promise to give the grown-ups (and kids) breaks throughout the session as needed, and to make it as painless as possible for everyone involved. If it would ease tensions to crack open a beer before I arrive - or better yet, serve mimosas with breakfast - well then I say go for it!

I want everyone to have fun and enjoy their time together.  I'm just along for the ride documenting and capturing beautiful photos for you to enjoy for generations to come.  This is fun!

Step 3: The Fun Part!

Your session experience includes access to the studio wardrobe. The creative fee is required to book your session and is non-refundable. This covers the photographer’s time and expertise to create your family’s images. Please note: The creative fee does not include any digital files or products.

After your session, you’ll choose from three collections, each of which includes a set number of digital files and a complimentary print credit. Print credit can be used toward anything in your gallery store—prints, frames, albums and more.

For extended family sessions, there is a $25 per person fee for additional adults (grandparents, aunts, uncles, nannies, etc.). For large extended family sessions, there is no additional charge for children under 18.

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection.
