A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if the forecast is questionable or someone seems to be coming down with the flu, we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any last minute questions or let me know if you've come up with a fun idea we haven't discussed.  

My photo sessions have no time limit but we are typically done within 45-60 minutes or so.  Because there is no time limit if there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, I like to stay flexible. Finally, take a breath and relax... I promise to give the grown-ups (and kids) breaks throughout the session as needed, and to make it as painless as possible for everyone involved. If it would ease tensions to crack open a beer before I arrive - or better yet, serve mimosas with breakfast - well then I say go for it!

I want everyone to have fun and enjoy their time together.  I'm just along for the ride documenting and capturing beautiful photos for you to enjoy for generations to come.  This is fun!

Ready for a session you’ll love? A signature session with me is $250, payable upon booking, and here’s what’s included:

• Expert guidance and help throughout the planning and prep stage (no guessing games here!)
• No time limit session—if the kids need to warm up, we’ve got time. If everyone’s in the groove and we finish quickly, that’s a bonus! But don’t worry, we won’t be hanging out for hours!
• Access to my fabulous studio wardrobe and monthly Looks Book with shopping links
• Permit fees for on-location sessions or access to my beautiful natural light studio—your choice!
• An online gallery to view your photos and purchase a collection, with zero pressure sales (promise!)

Just a heads-up: Your $250 creative fee does NOT include any prints, digital images, or other photo products. These are ordered separately through your online gallery. Each collection includes some digital files and complimentary print credit, which can be used toward anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, etc. The print credit expires after 30 days.

The creative fee covers the time and talent needed to capture your family’s beautiful images and handle all the behind-the-scenes magic to make your session a success. It’s due soon after booking to secure your date on the calendar and is non-refundable.

Please note, there is a $25 per person charge for extended family (grandparents, nannies, aunts, uncles, etc.). For large extended family sessions, there is no additional charge for children (under 18).

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection.
