How it Works

Step 1: Scheduling your Session

To schedule your session, simply choose a day and time from the Mini Session booking link below. Please note, your session will only be confirmed once the $75 non-refundable creative fee is paid and the agreement is signed.

There are two Mini Session events this year:

Tree Farm Minis at the Kavan Family Tree Farm in Lino Lakes
Holiday Studio Minis at my NE Minneapolis studio (wardrobe available for studio sessions only)

Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a slideshow of your images, and you’ll have 24 hours to purchase your collection. After selecting your collection, you’ll have 30 days to choose your images and use your print credit before it expires.

Step 2: The Session Itself

A few days before our session, I’ll reach out to confirm the time and location. This is also the perfect opportunity to ask any last-minute questions you might have.

Please keep in mind that mini sessions are designed to be quick, with a 10-15 minute time limit. If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible. While I’ll do my best to accommodate, we do have back-to-back sessions, and your time may be shortened if you arrive late. Take a deep breath and relax—we’ll move quickly, but I promise the session will be over before you know it!

If you feel that your children may need more time to warm up, I’d recommend considering a petite session instead, which allows for a more relaxed pace.

Lastly, please note that the props and holiday sets are intentionally minimalistic. If you’re looking for elaborate, highly decorated sets, I may not be the right fit. But if you prefer a clean, simple backdrop where your family can truly shine without distractions, you’re in the right place!

Step 3: The Fun Part!

Within just a couple of weeks of your session, you’ll receive an email letting you know that your photos are ready. You’ll have the chance to marvel at your images in a slideshow and, within 24 hours, choose which collection you’d like to purchase.

Once you’ve selected your collection, you’ll have a full month to decide on the specific digital files and print items you’d like to include. This is also the perfect opportunity to create stunning holiday cards and explore my favorite heirloom products, including the special edition holiday pocket books and keepsakes that are sure to become treasured family memories.

Non Refundable Creative Fee $75

Wardrobe for mini sessions is available only for studio sessions, not for the Tree Farm Event. Each collection includes a selection of digital files and print credit. The non-refundable creative fee is due upon scheduling and will secure your spot. Collections are purchased within 24 hours of viewing your slideshow, and you’ll have a full month to select the files and products to complete your collection. Your print credit can be used toward anything in the gallery store, including prints, holiday cards, albums, and additional digital files.

Keepsake Collection One - $225

Includes: 1 digital file and $25 in print credit

Heirloom Collection Two - $300

Includes: 5 digital files and $75 print credit

Legacy Collection Three - $375

Includes: ALL digital files and $150 in print credit
