How it Works
Step 1: Scheduling your Session
There are two Mini Session events this year:
Outdoor Mini Sessions
Held in the North Suburbs
To confirm your session, the $75 non-refundable creative fee must be paid and your agreement signed. One week before your session, you’ll receive an invoice for Collection 2 (5 digital images). That payment must be completed before your session takes place. After you’ve viewed your gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade—additional images can be purchased in sets of 10 for $75.
Holiday Studio Minis
Held at my NE Minneapolis studio
These sessions follow my standard process: Your $75 non-refundable creative fee confirms your session and signs your agreement. After your session, you’ll receive a slideshow of your images and will have 24 hours to purchase your collection. Once purchased, you’ll have 30 days to select your images and use your print credit before it expires.
Step 2: The Session Itself
A few days before your session, I’ll reach out to confirm the time and location. It’s also a great chance to ask any last-minute questions!
Please remember that mini sessions are designed to be quick—each session is limited to 10–15 minutes. If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Sessions are scheduled back-to-back, and arriving late may mean we have less time to work with. That said, take a deep breath—we’ll move fast, and I promise it’ll be over before you know it!
Mini sessions work best for families whose kids are generally quick to warm up and go with the flow. If your little ones need extra time to feel comfortable, I’d recommend a Signature Session instead. Those sessions allow for a more relaxed pace and more flexibility.
For outdoor mini sessions: Please note that your session will not take place unless Collection 2 (5 images) is prepaid. An invoice will be sent one week prior and must be paid in full before your scheduled session.
For holiday minis: Props and sets are intentionally minimal. If you're looking for elaborate or heavily themed setups, my style may not be the best fit. But if you love a clean, timeless backdrop where your family takes center stage—you’re in the right place.
Step 3: The Fun Part!
Within a couple of weeks of your session, you’ll receive an email letting you know your gallery is ready. You’ll get to watch a beautiful slideshow of your images—this is the moment clients often tell me is their favorite!
For outdoor mini sessions:
Since you’ve already prepaid for Collection 2 (which includes 5 digital images), there’s no need to choose a collection—but you can upgrade after viewing your slideshow. Additional images are available in sets of 10 for $75.
For holiday studio minis:
After viewing your slideshow, you’ll have 24 hours to select and purchase your collection. Once purchased, you’ll have 30 days to choose your digital files and use your print credit.
Either way, this is the perfect opportunity to design your holiday cards and explore heirloom products like the special edition holiday pocket books and keepsakes—client favorites year after year.
Non Refundable Creative Fee $75
Wardrobe for mini sessions is NO LONGER AVAILABLE you must book a petite or signature session for access to the studio wardrobe. You will still receive the Looks Book and style guidance.
Each collection includes a selection of digital files and print credit. The non-refundable creative fee is due upon scheduling and will secure your spot. Collections are purchased within 24 hours of viewing your slideshow, and you’ll have a full month to select the files and products to complete your collection. Your print credit can be used toward anything in the gallery store, including prints, holiday cards, albums, and additional digital files.
Mini Session Collections
*Please note Collection one is not an option for outdoor mini sessions, you will prepay for collection 2. Outdoor mini sessions will also not have collection 3. There will be the option to purchase additional images in block sets listed in the gallery store. Price will be dependant on the amount of digital images in you final gallery.
