This motherhood session took place in my Northeast Minneapolis studio and felt grounded from the moment they walked in. One mama, two kids, and space to breathe. No noise, no distractions just time carved out to be together and see each other clearly.

Studio Simplicity, Styled Intentionally

Hair and makeup were beautifully done by Lisa Christine Artistry, and it made all the difference. Not in a “glammed up” kind of way but in that soft, polished, “she looks exactly like herself” way that sets the tone for the entire session.

Wardrobe was all pulled from my studio collection: a long lace dress for mom that photographed like a dream, and a mix of floral and neutral textures for the kids. Everything worked together effortlessly because that’s the goal. No Pinterest-stress here, just thoughtful styling and a calm, consistent aesthetic.

The kids had freedom to move (and they did), and mom let herself be part of it all. From quiet cuddles to full-body giggles, the session followed their lead and the result is a gallery that feels like them.
