When the Creegan's inquired about a studio session to capture their beautiful daughter and dashing son for a family session in my Northeast Minneapolis studio, I was incredibly excited. I love photographing milestone sessions in my studio.  But I never could have guessed just how adorable they would be. 

What is most extraordinary about this family, though, is just how much fun they are!  They have two littles a big brother and little sister.  

I couldn't help but smile as they just had fun with each other at the session.  And you can just tell big brother adores his sister.  And while it's natural to worry about kiddos struggling to sit still during a session, I always tell parents to just have fun with it and it always works out!

As you can see from even just a quick glance through their photos, genuine connection, love, and joy are the qualities that turn beautiful family photos into the kind that take your breath away! Those sincere moments of connection are the ones families like the Creegan's will treasure for decades.

But when I'm planning every Minneapolis studio session, my number one goal is to bring out the unique personality of the family in front of my lens! I noticed right away that the Creegan's were especially fun and outgoing so I made it my mission to capture that in photos! By having the parents just play and dance with the kids especially big brother so he didn't get bored I was able to highlight what makes them so special!

It's also so important to me that family photos this fun don't just hide away on your computer hard drive forever. I encourage all my clients to invest in displays for their images, whether that be through an heirloom albums to pass around on holidays or a gallery wall full of prints.
