Capturing beautiful family memories is a treasure that can be passed down for generations. I had the pleasure of taking photos of a lovely family on the first weekend of October at Tamarack Nature Center in White Bear Lake. The session started off with bright sunshine but we were soon surprised by a short rain shower. Baby brother was full of smiles and big sister was full of energy and fun! Mom did an amazing job styling the family from her soft green dress to the neutral outfits for the children. Let's take a look at some of the highlights from this special photo session!

The Location:

Tamarack Nature Center is one of my favorite outdoor locations for photoshoots, especially during fall when the leaves are changing colors and the air is crisp and cool. Although it rained shortly during our session, we were blessed with mostly bright sunshine during our time together. The sun shone through the trees and created a magical backdrop that made for some truly stunning photos!

Mom’s Styling:

Mom did an amazing job putting together looks for herself as well as her two children. She wore a lovely green dress that complemented her complexion perfectly and created a beautiful contrast against all of the warm fall colors around us. For baby brother, she chose an adorable outfit that I actually have in my very own client wardrobe! Big sister wore a simple cream knit dress that allowed her personality to shine through in every image.

Capturing Fun Moments & Sweet Snuggles:

This family was so much fun to work with! Big sister was full of energy and loved running around while mom and dad chased after her with baby brother in tow. We managed to capture lots of play and also some sweet snuggles between mom, dad, big sister, and baby brother. It was such a joyous afternoon filled with laughter!

It was such an honor to document this beautiful fall family photo session at Tamarack Nature Center in White Bear Lake. Despite having their moment interrupted by a rain shower they powered through it with grace and optimism which resulted in some truly gorgeous images that will be cherished forever.
