There’s something truly magical about photographing a mother with her children and this sweet family session at Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul, Minnesota was no exception. Surrounded by the lush greenery and the dreamy natural light pouring in through the glass dome, it felt like stepping into a little tropical oasis right in the heart of the city.

This session featured just Mom and her two kiddos, and the bond between them was everything. From the moment they stepped into the conservatory, the energy was joyful and calm. We explored the winding garden paths, pausing to soak in the gorgeous plant life and take in the beauty of the space together.

Mom looked stunning in a soft blush maxi dress that flowed beautifully with every step. Her little girl twirled around in the sweetest cream floral dress and boots, full of giggles and charm. Big brother kept close, beaming with pride and love for his family. Their neutral tones complemented the warm greens and soft florals of the conservatory perfectly, creating such a timeless and cohesive look.

One of my favorite parts of shooting at Como Park Conservatory is how the light plays through the glass ceiling, especially in the Sunken Garden. The glow wraps gently around everyone, creating such soft, flattering tones that feel natural and editorial at the same time. It's a dream location for St. Paul family photography, no matter the season.

What made this session extra special was how relaxed everyone felt. No pressure. No posing stress. Just genuine connection, love, and a lot of laughter. It’s always my goal to create space for families to feel seen, comfortable, and celebrated and this session was a beautiful reflection of that.
