Capturing memories that will last a lifetime

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a family of five at the beautiful Hill Farm in North Oaks, Minnesota. The family consisted of mom and dad, big brother, middle sister, and the youngest brother. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them a few times now—once for an extended family session at their home and then again last fall at Tamarack. This time was special because Hill Farm is such a unique spot with plenty of room for running around and exploring. There’s even an old red barn in the background that provides some additional variety to the images!

Hill Farm is a perfect location for families looking to capture some timeless images that will bring back memories for years to come. It has everything you need—a picturesque setting and plenty of room to explore. Plus, it's conveniently located right in North Oaks so families don't have to go too far out of their way.

I love photographing family sessions because they are always full of energy, laughter and joy! During this session specifically there were lots of hugs, cuddles between siblings and spontaneous laughter as they ran around exploring all that Hill Farm has to offer. Capturing these moments is why I do what I do—it’s my passion! The parents were so pleased with how natural their children looked in the photos; you could really see the connection between all five members of the family.

The surroundings are just as important as those who inhabit them during these types of shoots! For this particular session we took advantage of everything that Hill Farm had to offer—we explored near the red barn, roamed through the area were we found some leaves to toss and take full advantage of that fall foliage.
